I teach Hypnobirthing – A common sense approach to birthing, giving you confidence and keeping YOU in control …taking the fearn anxiety out of labour and giving birth…much more than positive thinking and breathing exercises! It is a COMPLETE antenatal course. This photo was taken shortly after birth at home in the pool, folowing a previous C Section for their first baby. The mother’s smile says it all 💜 See the birth story in my testimonies page here, under “Janna and Adam ” who attended a One to One Course.
Client photos: A lovely “dad” photo here below, because fathers matter too! Some Hypnobabies at a post natal meet up below and some parents from a group class from January 2016. A postnatal parents and baby meet up from with some from my November 2015 group 💜
I offer small Hypnobirthing groups over 4 x weekly sessions or over 2 separate full days as well as One to One sessions at dates and times to suit you. Please book early as places for my groups are limited.
You can call or email me – using the telephone number/email address above. Or please use this quick contact form to send me a message.
Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal and relaxation programme for women and birth partners, (although women may choose to attend alone). It covers labour and birth preparation. It is a philosophy and technique, which is science based. If practiced regularly, it aims to induce deep relaxation (self hypnosis). This encourages the mother to access her instincts and intuitive behaviour during labour and birth – how nature intended!
Don’t be put off by the “hypno” part of the word. Hypnosis is an induced state of relaxation in which a person is in an altered state of consciousness. It is only deep relaxation really. If you think of a time where you were daydreaming, maybe whilst driving or staring out of a window, or whilst being engrossed in a good book, well, hypnosis is just like that. It is nothing to be afraid of and YOU are always in control and will never do anything against your own free will.
By using breathing techniques, positive visualisations, positive language, using images and/or pictures together with positive affirmations, the mother can become empowered to birth her baby in a more relaxed manner. This happens during a deeply relaxed state or state of self hypnosis. The result is that birthing muscles work as they are meant to in this physiological process. Rates of analgesia and intervention are very often reduced, with increased maternal satisfaction. Wherever or however you give birth, Hypnobirthing can benefit mother, baby and birth partner.
